The Job

Accounting Manager is the global process owner (GPO) of fixed assets for WB entities and oversees/manages the fixed assets process & transactions, supporting all domestic and international companies of WB.

The Daily

This individual will manage an offshore team, who are responsible for processing fixed asset transactions (ie: capitalization, write-offs/retirements, sales, asset record maintenance and depreciation run) and completing month-end deliverables/reports. This role will ensure all deliverables are completed timely and accurately. This individual will be the point of contact for all fixed asset questions and issues related to fixed asset policies and procedures, audits/SOX and ad hoc requests from management, global companies, and corporate departments. This position requires high level of problem solving and managing relationships with other business units.

The Essentials
• 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of accounting experience required (industry or public).
• 2+ years of experience in leading teams.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, proactive, deadline-oriented, and exhibits a team player attitude at all times.
• Initiative, independent problem solving abilities, ownership of work product, and strong leadership qualities.
• Detail-oriented and high energy.
• In-depth experience with process analysis and improvement.
• Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage the accounting activities for multiple diverse businesses.
• Strong execution skills, advanced analytical skills, and significant technical accounting skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to articulate key information.
• Unceasing curiosity and the courage to challenge the status quo.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Nice haves
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word & PowerPoint.
• Technical accounting research and memo writing.
• Blend of both public and industry experience.
• Fixed asset and lease accounting experience a plus
• PeopleSoft Financials, Oracle, Hyperion, or any ERP systems.
• Experience in forecasting/budgeting.
• Media industry.
• CPA is strongly preferred.
• Masters degree is preferred.
