Job Description
Our global data governance team is looking for a new Sr. Manager, Data Governance to join the team. In partnership with senior leadership, you will support managing of the Data Governance Office (DGO), you will collaborate with data stewards and custodians within the organization to manage the required operations to achieve data consistency, quality, and protection to meet overall organizational needs. You will partner with technology and business leaders and facilitate the implementation of tools and processes to establish visibility of data across the organization. Additionally, you will maintain data quality rules, enforce data policies, standards, and practices, at department, business, and functional levels. You will work with key business partners to align and manage critical data elements (CDEs) and will facilitate any required decisions to ensure alignment across data domain owners. You will manage the strategic roll-out of the Data Governance program and act as the main liaison between Business Units and Technology teams. You will collaborate closely with the Privacy Compliance, Privacy Operations, Legal, GICS and Risk teams to ensure cross-alignment and support. You will be accountable for facilitating the training, education, and onboarding of data users in the data governance framework across WBD. You will facilitate and manage related domain council meetings and prepare required material for data council meetings. You will partner closely in defining the roadmaps for implementing and maintaining data governance tools, such as the data catalog and master data management tools.

Your Role Accountabilities:
• Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal data governance policies.
• Establish and maintain data governance metrics and KPIs to monitor data quality and data governance effectiveness.
• Facilitate cross-functional WBD-wide governance meetings and working groups
• Work closely with business units, data stewards, data privacy, information security to identify business needs and address data-related issues in alignment with the Data & Shared Services roadmaps.
• Lead the adoption of the enterprise-wide data catalog, related metadata management, data quality and data observability solutions for a specific data domain
• Partner and communicate effectively across departments and stakeholders data governance's objectives, policies, and practices.
• Prepare regular reports on data governance roadmap, activities and data quality metrics
• Act as the key evangelist and authority on the Data Governance program and vision to our stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and mentor junior members of the team, support their development and ensure feedback and performance appraisals are conducted regularly and in accordance to the organization's guidelines.

Qualifications & Experiences:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Business Administration or similar field of study or equivalent relevant work experience
• 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field OR may substitute with content management operations experience/skills
• Experience with data quality management and metadata management tools is helpful.
• Project management experience
• Familiarity with media related processes and data domains a preferred skill set .


*This is a hybrid role in which reporting onsite 3 days per week is required.
