Primary purpose of position
We are seeking a Business Intelligence & Analytics Senior Manager to lead the overall intelligence and analytics team. This is an incredible opportunity to drive innovation and ensure we are finding effective and efficient ways to communicate competitive, market product and digital audience insights through automation. This position will manage a team responsible for creating a data discipline that allows us to be better, smarter and more efficient with what we do with data & insights.
The core purpose of this role will be to bridge the gap between our data & analytics service offering with revenue strategy and digital strategy. This requires:
• Collaborating with the various business units to understand the business challenges and identify key measures of success and commercial opportunities related to the use of data
• Delivering analytics and reporting capabilities to business partners with a focus on consistency, scale, and operation excellence using the latest cutting-edge BI solutions and analytical approaches
• Supporting the development, implementation and communication of our growth strategies through data-led solutions & approaches
This position is the ultimate owner of data definitions and systematic implementation of systems (backend core systems as well as visualization). This position will have access to digital analytics, content insights, social analytics, market intelligence platforms, data management and visualization tool to transform and evolve our analytical and reporting systems. The role requires the candidate to inform and support the overall Audiences & Data playbook and roadmap. You will collaborate and work in close partnership with Audience Insights, Content Insights, Global Client Solutions, Ad Sales, US Research teams, Warnermedia Data Strategy teams to drive to provide 'fast', 'self-serve' and 'real-time' information and predictive insights that support hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue.
Essential job functions
• Responsible for leading the team of digital insights and business intelligence analysts and ensuring the team is set up for success through strategic and high-level output that informs decisions.
• Understand the revenue targets and current performance to provide the required support and solutions to commercial teams to achieve these targets
• Develop the Intelligence and Analytics roadmap, including innovation projects.
• Evaluate and enhance existing data storage, ETL and data visualization tools
• Design a strategic BI platform architecture, hierarchies and taxonomies
• Enhance analytical processes so they are scalable, less manual, more real-time and predictive
• Build and maintain Business intelligence tools and ETL process across internal and external sources
• Deliver regular and ad-hoc reports & dashboards across a range of needs
• Institutionalise the use of data-driven analytics in across the business units and teams globally
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with Ad Sales management, communicating on a regular basis, understanding their challenges and identifying the best audience resource(s) to deploy
• Stay ahead of emerging trends and tools to enhance analytical capabilities. Evaluate, recommend, and oversee implementation of new tools.

Essential Skills:
We are looking for someone who is as precise and powerful in their analysis as they are in their communication and narrative – in doing so they will enjoy presenting.
Proven Experience in:
• Strategic leadership role and managing a team – having the ability to mentor and inspire
• Modern data warehouses and database systems – Snowflake, Looker and Domo are a plus
• Developing code with SQL-like tools, and scripting languages (R, Python)
• Data visualisation tools and solutions
• Predictive modelling or machine learning
• Business Intelligence Platform architecture and design
• Data Management & ETL process building
• Deciphering data and insights for a media organisation
• Cultivating excellent relationships with technology and research partners
• Sharing insights and their meaning in a compelling way
• Articulating complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
Desirable Skills:
• Experience in web analytics, on-line marketing performance measurement and optimisation, digital metrics and analytics, media campaign optimisation
• Knowledge of digital media buying and delivery (process, tagging, latest developments, formats and tools).
• Experience deciphering data and spot audience and sales trends across regions and categories
• Global understanding of cultural differences and sensitivities.
• Understand the ad-tech and data-tech landscape to connect audience insights to audience targeting to audience validation
• Statistical and analytical approaches to be able to conduct and lead market sizing projects for our new business development initiatives
• Extensive experience in managing and overseeing enterprise level programs, which require significant collaboration across various groups in a matrix organisation
• Harness a querying instinct to question why findings are as they are – pushing beyond reporting metric shifts and hunting for the story and the why
• Have a point of view and have the confidence to express it
• Be hungry to make a mark in the industry and be open to building one's reputation as a thought leader through new insights & analytics
• Be self-aware and able to integrate with a fast-paced sales team

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager.
