Your New Role...

We are looking for a Sr. Data Scientist to join the WBD Experimentation Sciences team. In this role, you will play a key part in growing the experimentation-centric culture of Warner Bros. Discovery. You will participate in several cross-functional teams to establish best practices, develop cutting-edge statistical tests, and evaluate the vast number of experiments being run across every aspect of the company.

Your Role Accountabilities...
• Partner with Product, Analytics & Engineering teams to design, analyze and interpret the experiments that drive decision-making at Warner Bros. Discovery
• Perform research into new tests and techniques that can reduce both test time and errors.
• Establish and evangelize best practices around experimentation.

Qualifications and Experience...
• M.S. or Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, Neuroscience, Psychology, or related field.
• Mastery of statistical testing and experimentation.
• Strong knowledge of variance reduction techniques.
• Expertise in Bayesian statistics, state-space models & hierarchical modeling.
• Strong programming skills in Python (or R, Julia) and SQL
• The ability to clearly communicate complex statistical results to a broad audience
• Experience with probabilistic programming (e.g. PyMC, STAN, Pyro, NumPyro) prefer
• Knowledge of Causal inference techniques and libraries prefer
• Experience with Reinforcement Learning prefer
• Experience with AWS Sagemaker, Databricks, S3, Snowflake prefer
• Experience in Python package development prefer

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in New York City. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $117,600.00 - $218,400.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
