Your New Role

Senior Financial Analyst focusing on the reporting and analysis of the Income Statement (primarily Consolidated legacy WarnerMedia and legacy Warner Bros.). Consolidated Financial Reporting is responsible for the preparation of consolidated financial statements and related footnote disclosures for inclusion in the Warner Bros. Discovery quarterly and annual SEC filings ensuring results are in compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations. Works with the Controllership groups to ensure adequate explanation of submitted results, communicate reporting requirements to internal partners and to obtain alignment on process efficiencies.

Your Role Accountabilities

P&L Reporting and Analysis
• Preparation of monthly deliverables, including P&L Results reporting for executive management and other reports
• Responsible for verifying accuracy of financial reports generated by SAP / BW
• Monthly P&L review of certain line items, including resolution follow-up for previously identified issues
• Prepares, reviews and reconciles various management reports (e.g., Results Review Binder, Black Book)
• Evaluation of the quality and accuracy of submitted financial data, including issue resolution, if necessary
• Assist in resolution of Controllership queries regarding process and treatment
• Preparation of quarterly deliverables to WBD, including footnote schedules used in SEC reporting
• Address management inquiries/requests for data and analysis spanning multiple areas
• Collaborate to drive efficiencies in processes and effectively meet deliverables
• Assist in providing ad hoc reporting and analysis and with various other projects, including cross-divisional initiatives, as required

P&L Data Review and Report Maintenance
• Resolve P&L data issues that affect the transmission of financial statements to Consolidated WBD, including researching and reconciliation of data in legacy consolidation systems and WBD systems
• Update reports for all new master data and changes in reporting structures
• Work in multiple systems to report results
• Participate in other key projects and initiatives impacting P&L reporting

Special Projects/Other
• Assist with master data approval process for GL Accounts and FS Items, working with the CFR Manager and requestors to ensure that requirements align with current management and external reporting financial data structures
• Assist in providing ad hoc reporting/analysis and with various other projects, including cross-divisional initiatives, as required
• Provide assistance/support to other areas within Consolidated Financial Reporting as needed

Qualifications & Experience
• 3+ years of experience in accounting and/or finance
• Experience with SAP/BW or other large ERP system is a plus
• Variance analysis and reporting experience is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA is a plus
• Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Detail oriented self-starter with the ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet routine and non-routine deadlines
• High degree of motivation to deliver a quality product
• Initiative and willingness to take on additional responsibilities
• Strong organizational skills
• Competent in preparing presentation quality documents and executive level summaries
• High emphasis on teamwork, collaboration, data analysis, and process innovation
• Team player who embraces change
