Job Description
The Job Manages the consolidation, review and analysis of profit & loss statements including by-title reporting for the Global Studios business segment within Warner Bros. Discovery including Actual and Plan cycles (i.e. Budget, Forecast, Monthly Update, Long Range Plan). The Daily Financial Planning and Reporting (Monthly Updates, Forecasts, Budge and Long Range Plan) • Acts as both a team member and a team lead on various projects. Provides coaching, development, and oversight to others on the team.
• Prepare business unit instructions and deliverables grids for all planning cycles. • Act as liaison and assume reporting & analysis responsibilities for by-title business units (Games, Consumer Products) and various direct-to-consumer/other business units (DC Entertainment, Global Brands & Experiences, Alloy Entertainment, WB Digital Networks, Theatre Ventures, WB Studio Operations, Technology, Corporate) • Analyze and review divisional workpapers with film cost calculated by-title where applicable for all monthly update, forecast and budget cycles. Includes analyzing by-title or source driven revenue/costs and the identifying issues and open items.
• Review and signoff on business unit detail plan loads; as well, post journal entries for all planning cycles.
• Responsible for the long-range plan for games, which includes forecasting the business unit financials and preparing variance analysis. Present an overview of the games product line to senior management and other team members.
• Review and analyze consolidated (Theatrical, Television, Games) and divisional by-title gross profit reports (Games, Consumer Products) as well as other management schedules (e.g. games drivers schedule including new release detail and a reconciliation of product line to management view, breakdown of licensing revenue, etc.).
• Responsible for review and analysis of intercompany eliminations between Games, Consumer Products and DC Entertainment. • Review and analyze divisional submissions for sister company reporting for HBO, HBO Max, Kids & Classics and Turner East to ensure accurate recording of revenue to the correct trading partner and calculation of divisional participation expense.
• Respond to inquiries from business units finance personnel as well as management from both Studios and Warner Bros. Discovery. • Determine budget/forecast procedures as well as designing and implementing process improvements. Active participation in the development of consolidation reports and analysis.

Financial Accounting and Reporting (Actual) • Analyze and review divisional workpapers with film cost calculated by-title where applicable for actuals vs. forecast. Includes analyzing by-title or source driven revenue/costs and the identifying issues and open items. • Review and analyze consolidated (Theatrical, Television, Games) and divisional by-title gross profit reports (Games, Consumer Products).
• Review and submit drivers schedules for Games and Consumer Products.
• Review and analyze the divisional submission for sister company reporting for HBO, HBO Max, Kids & Classics and Turner East to ensure accurate recording of revenue to the correct trading partner and calculation of divisional participation expense.
• Respond to audit requests from both internal and external auditors. • Ensure appropriate analysis is completed and communicated to department management and responds to inquiries from Business Units, Senior Management and Warner Bros. Discovery FP&A.
Other/Special Projects • Prepares and ensures the maintenance of documented departmental procedures.
• Supervises and determines policy for various system administration activities.
• Ensures compliance with SOX documentation requirements.
• Incorporates current and future technology to design/redesign processes and participates in new system implementations.

Work Experience
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an accounting/finance or related environment required Previous experience in entertainment a plus

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required, advanced degree preferred

Knowledge/Skills
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP) and financial statements Divisional or corporate reporting experience a plus Advanced proficiency in Excel required; familiarity with developing & utilizing macros in Excel required Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills Ability to work with all levels of management Strong managerial skills SAP BW/BPS experience extremely helpful
