SUMMARY OF POSITION
Warner Bros. Discovery Inc. seeks a Manager - Audit & Residuals for the Financial Contract Reporting and Administration department. The Manager will have broad oversight across the Audit and Residuals teams/functions as provide support for the rest of Financial Contract Reporting and Administration (FCRA). This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Mexico City teams and ensures that tasks/projects to support the Audit and Residuals teams and the rest of FCRA are completed timely and accurately according to business standards. This is an exciting role, which will work closely with Audit/Residuals and FCRA leadership and business finance counterparts to develop deep knowledge and competency across all areas of the department/division and Studio's businesses. Additionally, the Manager will be responsible for process improvement, and ongoing support of the standardization/transition efforts for the department and may be given short-term and long-term special projects by Directors and VPs.
The Manager is an important constituent in ongoing cross-divisional initiatives related to leadership development, system design and testing, knowledge sharing, soft skills training, mentorship opportunities, and special projects.
DAILY ACTIVITIES
• Responsible for recruitment and onboarding of new team members in partnership with the Mexico City People and Culture team and Audit/Residuals/FCRA leadership.
• Ensure ongoing development of team members including professional and people skills, knowledge of the business, and team engagement.
• Provide daily oversight of Mexico City team to ensure that business needs for support are being met – tasks include prioritizing, tracking, and reporting work status, developing timelines/plans for projects in collaboration with Audit/Residuals/FCRA leadership.
• Works hand-in-hand with Audit/Residuals/FCRA leadership on training/development, organizational design and long-term team vision/planning.
• Performs/Supervises/Approves special projects, analysis, research and daily tasks.
• Evaluate staff performance and give feedback to management and staff to improve performance and accomplish department mission and goals.
THE ESSENTIALS
• BA/BS Degree required (Finance/Accounting preferred).
• Proficiency in SAP general ledger required.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to read and understand abstracts and legal agreements required.
• CPA or MBA a plus.
• Minimum 5 years overall experience, 2-3 years prior management experience with demonstrated leadership skills required.
• Ability to work in a matrixed organization and experienced at juggling assignments from more than one supervisor
• Previous entertainment industry working experience a plus.
• Must have ability for progressive responsibility within the organization.
• Must have strong competency in working with multiple systems, applications, and SAP; must be willing to learn new IT applications.
• Excellent proficiency in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word required.
• Very strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and algebra required.
• Excellent analytical skills required.
• Very strong planning, organizational, time management and leadership skills required.
• Must be very flexible and able to adapt and lead in a team environment that is fast-paced and changing rapidly.
• Strong ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel and management within and outside the division (operational, financial, legal, IT, executive).
• Solution oriented individual who can work in a dynamic, fast paced, high volume environment and think outside of the box.
• Must be a confident individual who is a quick learner and self-starter.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Must have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to conceptualize and communicate solutions.
• Must be a team player with high-level of interpersonal skills and customer-focus.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
NICE TO HAVES
• Public or private audit and/or consulting experience preferred.
• Experience in a large, multinational corporate environment preferred.
• Previous training and presentation experience preferred.
• Experience working with blended teams, including outsourced providers and multiple time zones, preferred.
