Your New Role…

The Employment Counsel will provide strategic legal guidance to human resources partners and business executives on a variety of employment law issues. The position will partner with human resources, the Employment Legal team, and other internal stakeholders to develop, implement, and interpret company policies, procedures, and programs per best practice and applicable laws.

Your Role Accountabilities…
• Provides multifaceted legal counsel and transactional support to business and other partners, while ensuring employment-related claims are addressed promptly and thoroughly and resolved in a manner designed to minimize potential liability.
• Reviews, drafts, and/or negotiates a variety of complex agreements, including employment, independent contractor, and separation agreements.
• Handles pre-litigation claims, including EEOC Charges, demand letters and other agency claims, and partners and/or assists in managing outside counsel in employment-related litigation.
• Provides advice and counsel on investigations.
• Conducts training for human resources professionals and management.

Qualifications & Experience…
• Minimum of 3 years' experience practicing employment law required
• Experience as in-house counsel and/or in the media or entertainment industry preferred
• BA/BS degree required
• JD degree from an accredited law school required
• Admission to bar in GA required; Bar membership must be in good standing
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects under time constraints preferred
• Must be able to prepare, negotiate, and interpret agreements and other legal documents preferred
• Must be able to research legal questions and provide written and oral advice preferred
• Ability to spot and analyze complex issues and devise practical strategies and solutions preferred
• Ability to manage a high-volume workload efficiently and smoothly under tight deadlines preferred
• Strong work ethic combined with a cooperative and collaborative team-oriented attitude preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish productive relationships externally and internally at all levels in the organization preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills preferred
