Job Description
Global Privacy Services is a centralized team of privacy professionals who work alongside lawyers, product and data teams to drive compliance across the entire enterprise. The team provides services under five core functions: Privacy Operations, Compliance and Assurance, Privacy & Data Governance, Privacy Service Center, and Compliance Projects.

The team is a part of Warner Bros Discovery Technology & Operations, sitting alongside core HR, Financial, Legal and Data systems as an enterprise service. Privacy needs run across the entire enterprise, and the team is set up to deliver globally in our new Global Privacy Center.

We are currently seeking a Director, Privacy & Data Governance to lead the company in better monitoring and governing the personal information used across the enterprise, as it's used, shared or transferred for diverse purposes including advertising, marketing, compliance, or internal initiatives.

Your New Role...
Drive consistent data standards and governance across WBD's teams and business partners
Make continuous improvements to data inventory, tagging, flows and mapping across the enterprise
Maintain central views and records of how the company uses personal information across systems, teams, business partners and countries
Understand and assess complex vendor data flows, tools and use cases, and drive compliant configuration of WBD solutions in line with legal, vendor and platform requirements
Define and execute Privacy Data Governance projects
Lead a team of Data & Privacy Professionals

Applicants to this role should expect to work collaboratively with privacy professionals, lawyers, and product and technology stakeholders on data-driven governance and compliance initiatives across Warner Bros Discovery's business.

Your Role Responsibilities...

Drive consistent data standards and governance across WBD's teams and business partners
Understand and communicate privacy requirements to technology and business partners
Maintain and publish policies and standards
Drive compliance across platforms and products, including execution of training programs
Represent privacy needs in enterprise data governance committees

Make continuous improvements to data inventory, tagging, flows and mapping across the enterprise
Design and deploy standard data classifications and tags within systems
Solicit and synthesize privacy requirements for data catalog solutions
Develop and curate central records of Data Maps and Flows
Maintain updated product and stakeholder lists and relationships across the enterprise
Understand and assess complex vendor data flows, tools and use cases, and drive compliant configuration of WBD solutions in line with legal, vendor and platform requirements
Provide subject matter expertise on how WBD brands work with major technology vendors
Understand and articulate business and legal requirements for vendor tools
Coordinate the completion of privacy risk assessments
Product level vendor mapping & configuration, in conjunction with product and legal teams

Define and execute Privacy Data Governance projects
Coordinate with technology partners to develop requirements and align roadmaps
Run effective workshops as needed to drive strategic decisions and alignment
Oversee and execute day to day project management for large scale projects, including plan creation, workstream management, stakeholder follow-up, status and issue resolution

Lead a team of Data & Privacy Professionals
Represent VP Global Privacy Services in diverse forums

Qualifications & Experiences...
• Bachelors Degree Required, Master's degree Preferred
• 5+ years professional experience in privacy data governance or related field
• Experience defining strategic data priorities and executing priorities through oversight of projects
• Experience leading operational teams
• Privacy compliance experience, working with key regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc).
• Knowledge of advertising industry standards, vendors and methodologies
• Knowledge of data platforms / environments
• Project management skills
• Advanced MS Office skills

The Legal Bits…
In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $145,250.00 - $269,750.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
