Director, Paid Search (SEM)
The Role
This role will focus on driving business goals for Warner Bros. Discovery's Streaming Services and US Networks. The Director will lead the team that manages campaigns across digital buying platforms such as Google, Bing, and Apple Search.
Specific Responsibilities
• Take responsibility for your Global team's development and career progression. Leading by example to motivate and encourage those with less experience on the team.
• Ensuring the effective management of more junior team members, guaranteeing workloads are monitored and prioritized to meet deadlines.
• Play an active role in recruitment and interviewing processes to build a strong team. This will involve leading interviews and acting as an ambassador for the team to potential candidates.
• Lead paid search planning and media buying across various territories and brands, ensuring both functions are optimized to achieve high levels of growth with an ROI-focus.
• Keep abreast of market trends and developments, also liaising with Google, Bing & Apple partners - identifying new betas and tech to drive our search offering forward.
• Work with Regional Strategy & remaining Digital Investment team to gain an understanding of business goals, build advanced targeting capabilities, and deliver integrated plans.
• Serve as the SEM expert, platform partner, and trend-spotter.
• Maintain and develop strong professional relationships internally (cross departments) and externally (media vendors)
Qualifications & Experience
• 8+ years of hands-on SEM experience, media agency experience strongly preferred.
• 3+ years of experience managing and developing people.
• Deep understanding of paid search, with experience using external bid management (Search Ads 360, Marin or Kenshoo) or automation tools
• Experience with Direct Response is required with experience with attribution and conversion tracking.
• Proven project management, self-organization and prioritization skills
• Self-starter, highly motivated, positive demeanor, excellent communicator, and able to juggle multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Experience with app campaigns, Mobile Marketing Attribution (such as Kochava/AppsFlyer) and YouTube preferred.
• Experience in international markets is desirable.
• Must have the legal right to work in the country you are applying for.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $95,550.00 - $177,450.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
