Your New Role...

The Strategy & Ops group is responsible for leading strategy across The WBD International business unit to help drive growth and improve operations. The group plays a critical role in three key areas:

Global Operations: Coordinating international activities that support global lines of business, such as windowing decisions across Theatrical, Home Entertainment and Content Licensing, affiliate distribution and programming coordination to support International DTC operations. In particular, the group plays a leading role in coordinating with the US home entertainment team to optimize international operations.

Regional Strategy Initiatives: Providing operating and strategic support to the Regional Presidents and Country Managers, focusing on the key operating challenges and growth opportunities that drive the local businesses. Examples include, developing local production strategy, optimizing local network's portfolios, and assessing strategic tradeoffs around licensing decisions

Executive Support: Leading on key executive presentations including the quarterly business reviews, annual strategic and long-range planning process, and other key executive presentations.

The Singapore based Director will report into the SVP of International Strategy & Ops and lead strategic support for the newly formed Western Pacific organization (Australia / New Zealand, Japan, and China). The position will be responsible for partnering with regional and country management on key initiatives that can drive sustainable growth and increase operating efficiency for the business. The Director will also be a leader on the International Strategy & Ops team with responsibility for providing critical linkages between the operating units and the strategy group for Global Operations and Executive Support.

Your Role Accountabilities...
• Partnering with local home entertainment teams to implement global windowing and release strategies
• Serving as a key link between regional TV licensing and theatrical distribution teams and the international / global organizations
• Providing support for the development of the WBD streaming services in the region
• Supporting the Western Pacific Regional President on key organizational decisions
• Assessing WBD local production businesses and developing future strategies
• Analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities and develop strategic plans for executing on opportunities in the region
• Providing regional leadership for the WBD integration activities
• Building relationships across the Western Pacific leadership team and broader APAC organization to provide guidance and support on key strategic initiatives
• Working with the broader International Strategy & Ops team on global projects to support the WBD International President and CFO including the Board Strategy deck, operating reviews and other adhoc needs

Qualifications & Experience...
• Previous experience working in strategy, corporate or business development within the media and entertainment industry or previous experience in management consulting or investment banking
• Team player with strong inter-personal skills
• Strong academic background and analytical skills to drive strategic insight
• Must be able to multi-task and have the ability to proactively manage a variety of projects and timelines
• Ability to work in a diverse global matrix organisation.
• Ability to adapt to change.
• Fluent English.
• Proven capability in sourcing data and conducting research.
• Passionate about working in the media industry
• Bachelors degree in business required
• Masters in business administration preferred
