Your New Role...

The WBD Security Engineering team empowers the WBD CSO by supporting the Security Architecture, Threat Detection and Response, and Application Security teams through the deployment and maintenance of shared, reliable, and extensible security platforms. Security platforms must provide consistent performance, accuracy, and actionable data to enable WBD security analysts and engineers to confidently make decisive and informed security decisions requiring engineers that can deploy, support, and maintain any security tool or technology.

This Security Engineer position would be primarily responsible for administering, monitoring, and maintaining the company SIEM infrastructure and the data feeds it uses. As a member of the Security Engineering team the position would also involve supporting the security infrastructure which includes but is not limited to application and container security tools, security orchestration solutions, endpoint security tools, and vulnerability management systems. The position also assists in implementing and maintaining corporate security standards, technologies, and programs.

Your Role Accountabilities...
• Engineer and administer security platforms including SIEM systems, endpoint detection and response, vulnerability management, anomaly detection, and cloud analysis.
• Troubleshooting of security platforms.
• Improve efficiencies using automation and orchestration solutions to reduce manual work that can be done programmatically.
• Administration of system infrastructure that are hosted within a public/private/hybrid infrastructure.
• Remain current with new security trends continuously assessing systems to ensure they are appropriately configured to defend the business.
• Serve as a point of contact for incident response analysts, security operations center (SOC) analysts, application engineers and security management.

Qualifications & Experiences...
• At least 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including compliance and risk management with an engineering background.
• At least 10+ years of experience in IT systems, platform, or cloud engineering with a strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, and Unix) and network security architecture.
• Highly technical and analytical expertise with a background in technology design, implementation, and delivery of complex security solutions.
• Strong understanding of a variety of security tools and technologies (IDS/IPS, EDR, XDR, SIEM, Vuln Mgmt., etc.)
• Ability to think critically, solve problems, make decisions, and build trust across the organization.
• A track record of acting with integrity, taking pride in work, seeking to excel, being curious and adaptable, and communicating effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information assurance, MIS, or related field, or equivalent.

The Nice to Haves...
• Experience administering Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools, such as Ansible or Chef and/or infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience administering SIEM solutions in an enterprise environment including configuring and customizing log data ingestion.
• Experience implementing and maintaining container security solutions and web application firewalls.
• Experience with scripting languages such as BASH, PowerShell, and Python.
• Experience deploying and correlating threat intelligence and vulnerability management solutions and/or Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR).
• CISSP and/or SANS certifications; CISM.

Salary Range: $104,580 to $194,220 Per Year ($ USD)
