Job Description
The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for coordinate and review GBS activities monthly, quarterly and annually ensuring the correct booking of transactions in accordance with WM policies and procedures. To Review and provide approval for reconciliations, manual entries and processes. To Develop, mentor and guide the team, ensuring that reconciliations, schedules, entries and other accounting reports are prepared, updated, and improved properly. To Detect skills and development areas for each member of the team and work in different action plans to increase their performance. Operates effectively, even when things are uncertain, or the way forward is not clear.

The Daily – Major Activities
• Review and provide approval for reconciliations, manual entries and processes. To ensure that processes which affect monthly accounting closing are properly recorded ensuring integrity of every task performed.
• Establish and maintain solid and trust partnership with direct reports, through effective and recurrent communications to evaluate their performance according to the tasks defined, the guidelines agreed, and the commitments assumed. Regular feedback meetings with the team.
• Guide the team to perform the tasks with more autonomy. Encourage the team to think globally, to work with more autonomy, and to focus on the analytical side of the task (end-to-end process). Detect skills and development areas for each member of the team and work in different action plans to increase their performance.
• Motivate the team to find weaknesses in current circuits, processes and procedures and turn them into opportunities for improvement. Encourage periodic and systematic review of the way we work. To supervise the accomplishment of defined schedules and stablish metrics to verify that implemented changes become improvements.

The Essentials
• Degree in Accounting. US GAAP solid knowledge.
• Experience in media industry, Big Four firms or multinational companies.
• Years of experience: 3/4 years in accounting or finance positions. At least 1 year leading teams.
• Fluent in English.
• Ability to adapt to dynamic and uncertain environments (flexibility and prioritization).
• Experience in leading collaborative and goal-oriented teams. Ability to deliver results under stressful conditions.
• Above average skills in proactivity and accountability.
• Solid Experience in reviewing processes and procedures.
• Proficient in Excel and other MS tools.
• Agile and data driving-decision making.
• Interpersonal and Leadership skills.

The Nice to Haves
• Experience in Shared Business Services centers.
• Experience in migration of duties, knowledge transfer processes and onboarding trainings.
• Experience in SAP/PSOFT or other ERP systems.
• Experience in Hyperion, SmartView, Oracle and other database tools.
