WALB is owned by Gray Television and is a NBC, ABC, CW, Bounce and Circle affiliate. The station services over 30 counties across southwest Georgia.

Job Summary/Description:

WALB-TV, the dominant southwest Georgia news leader, is looking for an executive digital content producer to join our digital team. The executive digital content producer is the second-in-command on WALB's digital team. The right candidate will not only need to have an interest in local news, but also be able to work well with a team and help guide and mentor that team. The right candidate excels at writing and creating content for all digital platforms, including for WALB.com, the WALB News 10 app, social media and OTT. Knowledge of AP Style is required. The right candidate will need to be able to handle a fast-paced environment as news breaks and also help push our digital platforms forward.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Write and curate content for all WALB digital and social media platforms
- Help with and curate special digital projects
- Help lead and produce online breaking news coverage with the rest of the digital team
- Assist staff with composing digital stories when needed
- Assist in the newsgathering process

Qualifications/Requirements:
- A college degree in journalism or related field is required
- Knowledge of AP Style is required
- Experience as a digital producer or relevant experience in a newsroom is required
- Experience in any of the following is a plus: coding, podcasts, data visualization, video editing
- Must hold a valid driver's license and be insurable
