The station began broadcasting on April 19, 1953, as the first television station in Baton Rouge, and the second television station in the state of Louisiana.

Job Summary/Description:

The position will anchor weekday newscasts. The ideal candidate will possess versatility, speed, and accuracy when it comes to writing, anchoring, and reporting. We're looking for someone who can bring an outgoing personality to our team and who is a natural leader and team player. This position will also report on occasion so quality candidates will have a clear understanding of enterprise reporting and be able to bring fresh ideas to our newsroom on a daily basis. Journalists who apply must have exceptional anchoring and reporting skills in addition to strong shooting and editing skills.

Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:

Are you ready to get in on the ground floor of something big? WAFB, the dominant CBS affiliate in Baton Rouge, has an immediate opening for an OTT Executive Producer. This person will appear on camera, pitching to live-streaming and other events throughout the news day. We are nearing completion on a new studio being constructed as an OTT studio that includes all of the latest technology. In addition to on-camera work, you will line up the day's coverage as serve as Executive Producer. We are looking for a candidate who is full of energy and as excited as we are about the future of OTT!

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Gather and produce content as assigned
* Work with reporters to debrief breaking news, featured content
* Ability to produce an OTT daily plan
* Edit content on Edius, other platforms
* Contribute to all platforms, including consistent content on our digital platforms
* College degree in journalism or related field
