WAFB Channel 9 is the CBS network affiliate located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the 94th market in the country. The tradition of television in Baton Rouge began on April 19, 1953, when WAFB signed on the air as the second television station in Louisiana.
Over the following decades, Channel 9 created the number one news organization in South Louisiana, covering local, state, and regional news. Job Summary/Description:

The Graphic Artist is responsible creating graphics, logos and animations for television, digital, social, and print applications. This position is responsible for working with the news, sales, and marketing department on projects.

Create visual and motion-based design assets for client commercials and station branding projects. Design 2D and 3D graphics for multiple media, including television, digital, social, and print applications. Will produce graphics for on-air newscasts and design assets for other producer/editors in the Creative Services department. Will also conceptualize, design, and edit complete commercials and branding projects.

Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:
• With Marketing director, create and maintain a consistent, effective visual brand for station, news content presentation, and marketing applications.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Design skills.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Knowledge of HTML and Java is a plus.
• Videography, photography, lighting, and linear editing skills are a plus
• Operating knowledge of PC's, MAC
