Sr Manager/ Associate Director, E-Commerce Business Development & Partnerships

WHO WE ARE

The Senior Manager/Associate Director will play a vital role on Vox Media's centralized e-commerce team. A goal-oriented, self-starter by nature, you will have extensive experience building relationships across the retail landscape and a strong understanding of the affiliate landscape and content-to-commerce.

In this position, you will manage dozens of affiliate brand partners and networks, negotiating favorable terms, rates and securing exclusive deals. Additionally, as a member of the team you will be tasked with establishing, implementing, and optimizing e-commerce strategies around key categories and Vox Media sites.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Manage, and grow affiliate relationships directly with merchants, brands and affiliate networks, negotiating rates and exclusive deals
• Serve as the main point of contact for editorial teams, collaborating closely to identify and advocate for e-commerce opportunities
• Track daily e-commerce revenue and key metrics, leveraging them to inform partner, category and site-specific strategies and opportunities
• Evaluate ways to grow and improve e-commerce business across your assigned categories with an eye towards increasing revenue both within and beyond the traditional affiliate space
• Act as a key point of contact / referral / conduit for ad sales team as needed
• Proactively identify and lead special e-commerce projects and initiatives

WHO YOU ARE
• 4-6+ years of experience in affiliate business development, e-commerce and/or media
• Experience negotiating, structuring and implementing monetization strategies and complex affiliate partnership deals
• Experience driving decision-making and alignment with key stakeholders such as legal, finance, product, and editorial
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Agile, extremely organized with high attention to detail
• Goal-driven with the ability to proactively follow-up and follow-through on all projects
• Problem solver with strong creative and analytical capabilities
• Must be experienced in interpreting and leveraging data
• Knowledge of affiliate networks/technologies and e-commerce platforms

This job is remote.
