Senior SEO Editor, POPSUGAR (Temp)

We're looking for a Senior SEO Editor to join POPSUGAR's editorial team for five months as a parental leave fill-in. Working closely with the Executive Operations Director and Editorial Operations Director, you will help guide SEO strategy, best practices, and projects focused on search traffic growth. We will look to you to make specific recommendations to the editorial team for new content ideas and strategic updates of existing content, based on keyword research and analysis, to increase search traffic and page rankings.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Oversee updates of the POPSUGAR content archive and make recommendations for strategic updates on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Identify new areas for opportunity across the network based on keyword analysis and research, using SEMRush, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other tools as needed.
• Aide in efforts to eliminate duplication in the POPSUGAR archive, helping to identify overlap and redirect older posts on a rolling or project basis.
• Work with the Executive Operations Director and Editorial Operations Director to update the brand's SEO best practices, and create additional resources for the staff to use in their day-to-day work of writing and editing.

WHO YOU ARE
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in online publishing or related field
• Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills
• Proven ability to increase search traffic and SERP rankings
• Experience with SEO tools, specifically SEMRush, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics (or equivalent)
• Ability to translate site data into actionable content direction
• Familiarity with web traffic trends and environment
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
• Ability to stay ahead of trends and adapt to a constantly changing digital landscape

This job is remote. PAY TRANSPARENCY

The salary range listed below represents the minimum and maximum base pay for this position at the time of this posting. Final salary offered to the candidate selected for the position will be based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.

Pay Range

$77,000 — $100,000 USD
