WHAT YOU'LL DO

We are looking for an empathetic, talented engineer who has taken a proven product and scaled it up to meet the needs of many diverse customers, while improving its performance and stability. Collaborating closely with product managers, editorial content creators, and other stakeholders is essential, as is the ability to be a thoughtful advocate for technical needs.

We are seeking an experienced full-stack software engineer to maintain and expand the full-featured podcast platform that powers CAFE Insider as we grow our nascent subscription podcast business. You'll be a key contributor on our team, responsible primarily for the CAFE Insider subscription management platform, and also involved in the development of our video-delivery platform.
• Collaborate with the Product, Engineering and Editorial teams to ensure work is prioritized and delivered effectively as possible
• Maintain and improve the podcast delivery platform while establishing a future direction of Vox Media's subscription podcast solutions
• Strategize with stakeholders to provide technical input around CAFE Insider's decisions and roadmap
• Mentor, support and onboard new teammates as they join the organization

WHO YOU ARE
• 3+ years of experience working with AWS and Lambda, using NodeJS
• Preferred experience working with React
• Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders, specifically Engineering and Product Managers
• Bonus points for mentoring and/or onboarding new members of your team

This job is remote; you can work from wherever you feel most comfortable and productive.
