Job Description
We currently have a position open for a Digital Librarian, in our Vault, located in Burbank, California.
Candidates must be self-motivated, with superior work ethic and ability to work to strict delivery deadlines, with minimal direct supervision.
Position Overview:
The Lead Digital Librarian works in the Vault and manages content on multiple platforms including - but not limited to - LTO, spinning disk, MAM and cloud-based environments.
Responsibilities:
- Retrieving/archiving assets from/to LTO and Hard Drives
- Repurposing LTO’s and LTO library management with client caches
- Filename management, eliminate illegal characters
- Ingesting assets into MAM
- Staging/migrating files to various servers
- Creating folder structures for clients in MAM
- Setting file retention policies based on clients and workflows
- Metadata entering and updates
- Audio vetting and naming
- Staging assets to appropriate Operations locations
- Ability to drive elements between VDMS facilities, clients and vendors
- Resolve issues either technical or deadline related, and collaborate with operational departments and client services, towards a timely resolution
- Responding & Scheduling email requests
- Engage in on-going training and the training of other team members
- Operation of various asset and workflow management tools
- Help troubleshot and lead other team members in their tasks
- Represent and uphold all department policies and procedures and maintain an exceptional level of service for our customers
- Undertake additional department duties as required
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 1+ years of post-production or media distribution experience, plus
- 1+ years experience working with various digital file types, a plus
- 1+ years supervisor experience
- Results oriented with strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and both written and verbal communication skills
- In depth knowledge of audio/video, physical and file formats and electronic delivery platforms
- Strong multi-tasker, with experience with organizing and managing multiple priorities, while retaining comprehensive knowledge of multiple workflows
- Strong ability to follow direction, work unsupervised, at a fast pace in a calm and collected manner
- Ability to troubleshoot and act as a critical thinker
- Familiar with major online retailer Metadata / XML Creation and Verification, Digital Packaging and Quality Control processes, a plus
- Experience with LTO, a plus
- Experience with data wrangling, a plus
