VMG is looking for a Supervising Social Producer to lead brand-partnership social video output across VMG publishing portfolio - Vice, Refinery 29 and iD. The Supervising Producer, Social will work within the Production team, work very closely with the commercial teams and report directly to the Director of Production.

To be successful in this role, the SP needs to be experienced and well-versed in social content ideation, execution and publishing; current and emerging trends on all social platforms; and performance intel. They will thrive in a fast paced environment, be positive, and be solution-focused. They will have excellent creative instincts, and be an internal expert on social-video producing for the VMG commercial group.

They must ensure that all creative content is created with client, creative and native platform trends balanced for success. Content production must run smoothly from pitch and scoping phase to execution, meet deadlines, and stay on brand and within budget.

The Ideal candidate is a natural leader, with exceptional teamwork skills and has social production experience as well as an understanding of social media video editing systems. They have the ability to own multiple projects between pitch, shoot, and edit to ensure creative excellence and client satisfaction. They possess a solid understanding of social media trends, visual story telling devices within the confines of what can be shot on a phone, management and and collaborative skills and a strong understanding of digital advertising and media.

The SP has great enthusiasm and interest for Refinery29 & Vice and the additional VMG Verticals such as Munchies, i-D, Unbothered, and VICE News Tonight.

Responsibilities
• Supporting the pitching process for Social Content including creative development, production feasibility assessment, scopes and timings.
• Responsible for supervising the Social Producer as relates to budget & schedule creation as well as systematic reporting of project financials.
• Strong knowledge of social content offerings: latest innovations, knowledge of the market and competitors, and active participation in growing our social talent creator network.
• Working closely with the Commercial Creative Leads & the media team in pitch to support creative development by adding social expertise that is mindful of a client's KPI's.
• Set and manage the overall workload, schedules, and prioritizations across various active social programs.
• Set expectation of executing best in class content work that is consistently on time, on scope and on budget.
• You will understand the risk and challenges of projects and be able to respond to and proactively manage solutions with the team as well as consistently bring a positive and calm outlook to find solutions.
• Engage and manage freelance social producers as needed should volume of work be too high to handle in house.
• Working closely with the relevant VMG team members to ensure constant communication throughout project execution, updating Account Management & Creative throughout.
• Supervising the Social Producer to ensure all content & shoots meet legal requirements and compliance and to obtain all necessary licences.
• Ensuring client feedback is always addressed and social video programs meet client expectations.

You have these:

• A proven track record of leading social video projects in house for an agency or digital publisher.
• You will be comfortable working across the integrated process, spanning creative development, production & delivery.
• You will understand the attitude required to work in a small to medium sized team; you'll be happy to chip in wherever required within the creative process and always champion the work!
• You will have a strong sensibility for story and ability to develop ideas across a variety of formats and genres, based on an understanding of what works on different social platforms.
• You have a strong experience of producing content for brands and an understanding of how to communicate production approaches, restrictions and developments effectively.
• This is a personality-first, relationship-oriented team so outgoing with great communications and a willingness to be vocal and involved is an absolute must for this role.
• You have the ability to work well under pressure and flexibility in coping with rapidly changing circumstances.
• To undertake such other tasks including general administrative duties as may be required from time to time.

The salary range is subject to change and may be amended in the future. Experience, education, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered.

Pay Range Details:

New York/California: 110,000 - 120,000 USD
