VICE x Team

Vice Media seeks a motivated, staff accountant to join our finance and accounting team. This team reports into the Global Controller and performs month-end close functions, but also provides business support. It's a collaborative team environment with the end goal to provide a clear and accurate financial picture for our business leaders and executives.

Role x You

In this position, you will work across both our Vice News and TV group offering exposure to multiple facets of our business as we consolidate our accounting and finance function.

In this role, you will immediately be involved in the month-end close process performing such tasks as analyzing the accounting treatment of transactions, account reconciliations, and preparing opening and closing journal entries. You will also work with the production teams to learn of the content we are creating and set up such projects in line with fiscal policy and with the correct accounting treatment.
Outside of month-end close, you will assist with ad-hoc reporting and analysis for show management and department heads providing them with valuable insight into their financial performance. This role offers great growth potential to move into a more senior role within the team or other functions within the finance organization.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required with a strong knowledge of GAAP accounting
• 2-3 years of professional experience in accounting or a related field
• Strong excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills

We'd love if you also had these:
• Experience with Netsuite is a plus
• CPA or CPA eligible
