You will be joining a collaborative team of multidisciplinary artists who work primarily on VICE Digital. The team works on assignments that span across various platforms including but not limited to editorial, video and socials. We value creative problem solving, teamwork and innovation.
Role x You
The Senior Editorial Designer will primarily oversee visuals on VICE Digital's Culture, Health and Features Desks. You will be responsible for discovering up and coming talent for commissioned projects, and w ork closely with editorial desk heads to create visuals for editorial-related assignments including assets that get distributed on other platforms. The ideal candidate has a strong background in design and extensive experience creating visuals for editorial teams and news rooms. The Senior Editorial Designer will report to the Art Director and will join a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team of artists to visualize and promote written content under the VICE brand.
You have these:
• Bachelor's degree in design or fine arts or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in the media industry
• Mastered skill set with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator (
• Ability to multitask in a high pressure environment
• Strong understanding of the Vice audience and voice
We'd love if you also had these:
• Experience with animation and motion graphics
• Proficient typography skills
• Adobe After Effects and/or Graphic/Animation experience
