The Role
We're looking for an experienced and driven Sales Manager to head up and develop new relationships with some of our key clients and agencies within the Middle East. You will be responsible for commercially leading and developing key Client relationships at VICE . Central to the role is the ability to strategically develop Client partnerships through a strong understanding of their business. You have proven experience in leading client relationships across a range of products or services within a creative or media agency environment. Reporting into the Sales Director MEA , the Sales Manager will have a key role in the design and development of the Middle East Business.
Key responsibilities:
• Strategically developing strong and profitable commercial relationships with clients, developing and growing, across all brand publishing activity based on game changing work and delivery.
• Working closely with other heads of departments to ensure all timelines and expectations are met.
• Visiting big clients across agency patch and category to build and maintain the relationship in order to unlock new commercial opportunities for the business .
• Working with the Sales Director to develop strong forecasting and weekly reporting.
• Work with the successful business model and leverage existing systems & infrastructure wherever possible to ensure profitable growth.
• Identify new strategic clients, advertisers and partners; implementing an effective sales strategy.
• Driving the revenue and gross margin numbers via direct sales to brands and in-direct sales through agencies.
• Ensuring and owning a clear business administration and CRM system for the top clients in the Middle East market.
• Establishing senior level relationships with relevant client stakeholders to enable us to pioneer new activities and ways-of-working, based on a strong appreciation and understanding of how we can enable our business to help their brands grow in culture.
• Contributing to the company's vision, new product and Sales & Business Development strategy.
• Making sure that the commercial needs of the business are represented. Working with the Digital Director, and the sales Director to ensure this presence.
• Driving new relationships and commercial opportunities from the key agencies and brands in the UAE and KSA markets
• Supporting the project management team in maintaining and building out further the client relations.
The Candidate:
• 6+ years experience in a business development role in an agency, publisher or production company, with a natural aptitude for sales and business development
• First class networking skills, a self-starter who is able to work independently yet can work as part of a team.
• Commercial nous, and negotiation skills.
• Good Media, production and agency experience and understanding.
• Aptitude for working in a high-energy, results-focused environment.
• A high-performance focus, solid work ethic and a very hands-on nature.
• A clear passion and energy for business.
• Solid written/verbal communication & presentation skills (English).
• Fluency in Arabic (written and spoken) a bonus
• Impeccable personal integrity and business ethics.
• Gravitas and exceptional management skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with an ability to work on his/her own initiative.
• Willingness to travel to KSA and Abu Dhabi on a regular basis
