The Program Manager will use business intelligence skills to drive operational efficiency projects for VICE Media through analytics and process improvement with our internal business partners and external vendors. You will provide support to global cross-functional partners and vendors through technology enhancements, reporting key metrics, training, user support, and sharing of best practices. This individual will provide outstanding service to clients and maintain high standards of quality work. The role is preferred to be based in Los Angeles or New York and will report to the VP, Corporate Services. That said, candidates working outside of these metro areas will also be considered.

Role x You

The Business Technology Operations Program Manager supports activities and provides strategic decision making to contribute to the implementation of VICE's Corporate Services systems and processes. The individual works in close collaboration with the various members of the VICE community, especially Corporate Departments, to help shape various ongoing technical projects and programs and ensure they are kept on target. The candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, project timelines and deliverables.

Responsibilities
• Lead, develop, manage and finalize requirements documents and functional specifications
• Lead technical working groups to ensure deliverables and milestones are met
• Accountable to ensure performance metrics/client satisfaction
• Ensure the software solution architecture is aligned with VICE direction and strategy
• Ensure delivery of high-quality product and compliance to specifications and recommendations in managing updates and upgrades
• Develop and manage product implementations, change management documentation and user trainings
• Update and maintain all solutions-related documentation and manuals
• Manage integration / interface development across solutions/tools including but not limited to NetSuite, Salesforce, Workday, Concur, Mulesoft and Snowflake
• Monitor expenditure against approved budgets and ensure that targets are met
• Identify new technologies and processes to continuously refine VICE's internal solutions offerings
• Demonstrated knowledge of project management best practices
• Excellent verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills
• Prior experience in delivering complex projects within the media industry preferred
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks

Qualifications

You have these:
• 2+ years of managing development and implementation of technical systems
• 2+ years of experience in overseeing platform development lifecycles
• 2+ years of experience writing functional specifications and providing direction to developers, programmers and stakeholders
• Strong understanding of application platforms, with the ability to manage the build of custom applications
• Strong understanding of Wrike, JIRA and Asana best practices and functionality
• Strong data management abilities
• A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion
• A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Excellent project management skills and a positive attitude
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards
• Creative, strategic and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
• Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
• Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
