Drive inspiration and conversation around shoppable service content for young women focused on the wellness, sexual pleasure, travel, and technology markets. Optimize affiliate shopping stories to help achieve revenue goals and serve up quality in product picks. Ideate shopping stories that aim to deliver highly-researched storytelling and education. Source what's next from influencers, social media, community, experts, and most of all The Market Hunt in all corners of life.
Role x Team
The content led by the Shopping team refines the global marketplace for Refinery29's smart, driven, and stylish audience with expansive, creative storytelling that is expertly researched and crafted with the intent to convert reader into shopper. We always put the audience's needs first and focus on products that will enhance her life. We consider any purchase - big or small - to be an investment.
The articles written by the Shopping team operate separately from our editorial team, with the goal of generating affiliate revenue from sales of goods & services featured in the articles.This role is a non-union position that is not recognized by a collective bargaining agreement.
Responsibilities:
• Write 1 - 2 affiliate shopping stories per day (original content, first-person reviews, trending pieces, and updates within the wellness and sexual pleasure space)
• Optimize shopping library content with fresh products that help us achieve our affiliate revenue goals
• Produce one shopping newsletter a week
• Represent R29 at wellness-related events (virtual + eventually in-person market appointments, affiliate meetings, and in the future, applicable press trips)
• Conceptualize innovative features, landmark series, and SEO-driven content within the revenue-driving vertical
• Conduct interviews with industry leaders, experts, and influencers
• Use search data, Google trends, cultural events, and affiliate retail sources to inform your content and product selection
• Be an enthusiastic member of the team, continuously offering fresh ideas and pitches
• Must be available to work during the biggest shopping events of the season including: Prime Day, Black Friday, and Cyber Week
We'd love if you also have these:
• Energized working in a fast-paced, high volume operation
• Collaborative and open to feedback in pursuit of constantly pushing content to new heights
• Comfortable writing first person experiences and reviews
• Have a few years of writing experience from internships and previous editorial or content commerce roles

The salary range is subject to change and may be amended in the future. Experience, education, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered.
Pay Range Details:
New York/California: 55,000 - 60,000 USD
