Job Summary

The Vice President of Development is responsible for the day-to-day development and productions of the TV studio's annual slate.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
*Oversee the development of new scripted series from concept to series for distribution on multiple platforms
*Supervise series once in production
*Identify, solicit, evaluate new IP and development ideas/concepts for series
*Give script notes on projects and point key packaging discussions
*Share key talent, pitches & coverage with team
*Develop and maintain relationships with talent (writers, producers, directors, actors, authors, filmmakers, etc.)
*Provide ongoing guidance on casting decisions
*Spearhead problem solving and crisis management resolution with studio partners and outside producers on all creative and production issues
*Manage special projects and assignments as required
*Lead and mentor more junior team members
• Other related duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

Basic qualifications:
• 7-10 years of related experience with demonstrated roles of increasing responsibility
*Deep understanding of the scripted series development and production processes
*Strong relationships with agents, managers, writers and producers
*Significant knowledge of the network television and streaming television landscapes

• Extensive experience working with filmmakers and creators
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Proficient Word and Excel skills
