Are you a Senior Developer that is a skilled and experienced Full-stack web developer within the digital and media industry? If so, this is a perfect opportunity that is part of a collaborative team charged with creating digital solutions as a part of ViacomCBS' creative internal agency. The role blends technology, development, systems architecture, and design, underpinned by business and operations.

Ideal candidates will take products from ideation to reality. The candidate must be fully capable of developing/coding and handling responsive web site builds and various CMS solutions. You will be immersed in a variety of digital projects that include: reskinning pre-existing sites, developing unique digital experiences and products utilizing advanced JS libraries and more, performing Quality Assurance testing, spec'ing out requirements, helping envision UX designs and flows, and evaluating vendor technologies.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Full Stack Developer will lead, maintain, debug and upgrade various internal sites and products including department website, lobby screens companion website, and other internal and external tools and solutions. This role requires a high level of autonomy as the full stack senior developer will be solely responsible for all website development, hosting, and maintenance with occasional partnership with our global AWS devops group. This hands-on full stack developer must have original ideas and demonstrate those ideas through code and be familiar with the creative process.

This role reports into the Senior Director of Production and Digital Operations and partners with art directors, designers, digital content producers and will maintain an understanding of all digital projects in flight and communicate status to key partners.
• Expert Knowledge of HTML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Anime.js, Three.js, JQuery, React, Ember to develop robust, creative prototypes and responsive sites. Greensock knowledge a plus.
• Expert knowledge of PHP, MySQL, Node.js, MongoDB, Jenkins, Bamboo. Comfortable debugging, writing new functionality and plugins.
• Expert knowledge of Kubernetes, Nginx, Sumo Logic, Jarvis, Bitbucket and GitHub
• URL management, migrating sites to hosting servers, archiving sites, owning and leading AWS,WP Engine hosting and site maintenance
• Advanced experience with APIs, their functionalities and integration capabilities.
• Enabling CI/CD Automation with Jenkins or Bamboo, Setup AWS environment, build jobs, pipelines for development and release process, Experience with shell scripting, Experience with implementing Network, Storage, Server and Application Monitoring, Deployment, automation, management, and maintenance of AWS cloud-based production system, Logging, and monitoring on AWS platform, OKTA authentications.
• Expert WordPress and WPEngine knowledge. Build, reskin, front-end and back-end maintenance.
• Understanding of the mobile app space and related development tools and platforms
• Ability to adapt and willing to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to multitask and keep on top of timelines and launch dates
• UX/UI exposure/knowledge a plus
• Remain calm under pressure with rapidly shifting deadlines and be able to pivot, manage and prioritize multiple projects

• Must be able to take digital projects/builds from concept to final product independently with minimal supervision managing front-end and back-end aspects of all digital projects
• Solid understanding of QA processes for various browsers, platforms, and devices
• Must have strong communication and organizational skills, be self-motivated with the ability to work independently, as a team-player and accept creative suggestions openly
• Ability to quickly troubleshoot website bugs, tweak code and maintain sites
• Key Liaison between our department and tech teams in managing and hosting digital products internally.
• Train and educate the department on tech phases, terms, new technologies, and internet trends
• Collaborate closely with design to implement their layouts, give feedback on scope of project, and make recommendations for related website/digital products

Basic qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Web Development, Computer Science
• 8 + years as a full stack developer or equivalent who has also been involved in the creative process
