Role Details:

Looking for a fast moving, creative environment where you can use your expertise to bring cutting-edge interactive OTT products to market? Our team is seeking a QA Tester to act as a core member of the app development team focused on QA for OTT products! The ideal candidate will have experience testing video based OTT apps, a solid working knowledge of QA tools (i.e. Charles), is passionate about testing OTT products and is driven to create high end product experiences.

Your Day-to-Day:
• Execute test plans across all Apple platforms - TV and mobile devices
• Help prioritize incoming issues and document steps to reproduce, as well as observed and typical system behavior
• Actively participate in daily standups and sprint planning, with an emphasis on optimizing testing cycles/resources with product and development teams to deliver shippable features
• Coordinate with the rest of the QA team to analyze and improve the QA process
• Maintain the bug tracking database (Jira)
• Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including analyzing requirements, developing test plans, test cases, and execution of test scripts
• Work with support teams to triage issues
• Prioritize workload based on release dates and business priorities
• Additional other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Key Projects:
• Provide feedback on continually updating designs to give users the best possible customer experience
• Develop more efficient ways to complete full regressions across several builds
• Determine how to best test functional cases that rely on REST APIs and CMS entries
• Inspire confidence to our other development teams and product partners

QUALIFICATIONS:

What you bring to the team:

You have -
• 2+ years Software Quality Assurance experience
• Experience in black box/manual device testing
• Understanding of software development life cycle
• Good interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written
• Experience in test case creation and testing estimation
• Proficient in software tools such as Jira, Charles and TestRail
• Able to work independently without much supervision
• Experience with Agile methodology
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Able to think critically about the level of testing required (e.g. none, manual, automated) in each stage of that change's lifecycle

You might also have -
• Complete understanding of mobile and other Apple products
• Technical Background and or Technical Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Working knowledge of Xcode and test automation tools
• In depth knowledge of various streaming technologies and service
