Overview

We are looking for a talented Product Designer to help craft the future of the CBS Sports' Design System. The Product Designer contributes to the look, feel, and interaction of our entire product experience, defining the foundations of our product design across multiple platforms. You will help define a design system strategy and direction, set the bar for design standards, and find solutions to complex, previously unsolved problems. Responsibilities:
• Work with leads to execute on the design system vision, infrastructure roll out, and ongoing system adoption
• Systemize and design components and pattern libraries with a focus on durability, scalability and accessibility
• Write clear and inviting documentation so design system users can get the most of our design system
• Work with designers, product and engineering teams to ensure the design system is implemented to a quality standard
• Optimize file management and be constantly on the lookout for best practices, design patterns and tooling
• Evangelize the values of the design system and be the support person for design system enquiries

Qualifications
• Ideally 2-4+ years of relevant product design experience, with at least a year working on Design Systems
• Experience in building or contributing to a Design System such as creating components, design patterns, writing documentation
• You have a portfolio that reflects who you are and that you can perform the aforementioned duties with ease
• Strong skills in Figma and experience with auto-layout, building components and style libraries
• Experience working in a cross-functional team environment

• You have a high level of attention to detail – You have high standards in file management and you are naturally inclined to keep files organized, updated and believe in the value of versioning

• You own your design decisions that are backed up by your strong yet loosely held beliefs and are not afraid to dispense nor receive constructive criticism.

Bonus
• An understanding of how design works in code to liaise comfortably with developers
• Experience with a multi-platform and/or multi-brand Design System
• Knowledge and experience with web, mobile apps and/or TV interface guidelines
• A love of sports and entertainment
