Role Details:

CBS News Streaming is seeking a Producer to pitch, develop and produce engaging segments, shows and pilots for our streaming network. We're looking for a proven journalist with a steady track record who can handle multiple projects at once producing compelling, provocative and intelligent stories.

Your Day-To-Day:
• Research, pitch, produce and lead all aspects of a variety of projects in various stages of production
• Highest priorities include but are not limited to – develop new, never-before-done, enterprise live and taped segments focusing on a wide variety of financial topics
• Develop new content and programming using existing archival material
• Collaborate with many stakeholders and supervisors across the CBS News network during all phases of pitching, production, and post-production
• Outline and script segments, shows and pilots from inception through air
• Coordinate and schedule productions including setting up studio shoots, field production, ordering graphics and manage post-production
• Coordinate deliverables after segments/shows/pilots are complete, including but not limited to: story summaries, clips for social media and promotion across company platforms, and re-purposing materials for other formats across CBS News
• Complete media management and organizational tasks associated with production
• Produce projects from start to finish

Qualifications:

What you bring to the team:

You have –
• 5+ years of experience in video journalism
• Proven understanding of journalism standards of attention to editorial detail
• Ability to work independently and remain deadline focused
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, fluid and collaborative environment while balancing various projects
• Highly organized, with excellent time management and communication skills
• Creative problem solver
• Strong writer
• A passion for bringing news stories and cultural topics to life

You might also have –
• Experience in financial reporting a plus but not required
• Familiarity with Rights & Clearances and Fair Use standard methodologies a plus
• Familiarity with shooting and editing a plus
