Job Description

Noggin is a leading learning service for families with preschoolers. We deliver streaming and interactive learning content that helps young kids develop skills, knowledge and passions through play with the characters they love. We also help parents help their kids thrive. A direct-to-consumer offering available on 10+ platforms, Noggin reaches families in the domestic market through standalone mobile apps, connected TV apps, and add-on channels. We are forming a team of highly motivated individuals who are eager to work in a start-up-like environment within a large media company. We need innovators and self-starters who are passionate about playful learning and comfortable working in a fast-paced, creative-led organization.
Overview:

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for crafting visual design elements and layouts used for user experience design and branding of learning content for young children ages 2-6, including streaming video, mobile games, other interactive experiences, and displayed on our owned and operated app as well as our partners. Designers will build engaging images, pleasing layouts, click-able illustrations and develop brand packages for original Noggin series.

Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
• Assist Creative Production in developing new IP and branded franchises through design and asset creation
• Design and illustrate visuals used in user experience design and branding for the preschool audience of kids 2-6 years old
• Build original brand guides, logos, key art, type treatments, iconography, patterns, develop color palettes, banner ads, and tiles
• Build user experience design assets and design layouts for owned and operated Noggin App as well as partner products.
• Communicate optimally with Art Directors and Creative Producers
• Develop style guides for content and branding o Establish styles through look development

Basic Qualifications:
• 4 year degree in computer arts, graphic design, production design, game design or animation production.
• 3+ years working as a static designer at a streaming service, ad agency. mobile game studio, network, brand, and/or media content site.

Additional Qualifications:
• Encouraged by preschooler art and design and wants to build keyart that gets young children excited for learning.
• Meticulous, organized, detailed, and able and willing to refine work to a high degree of polish.
• Strong eye for layout, composition, color theory, logo design and graphic design.
• Proficient in Adobe Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, layout, illustration, character design, environmental design, props, gaming menu and system design
• A phenomenal sense of color, composition, graphic design and a knowledge of animation techniques and pipelines.
• A strong understanding of children's media and curiosity about working in early learning
• Prior experience crafting thumbnails, logos, and user experience design elements
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexible and have enthusiasm for innovation and change
• Ability to complete tasks on tight deadlines
• Ability to articulate and influence creative concepts
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Strong work ethic and self-motivation
• Passion for design and animation
