Editorial Assistant, Creative & Strategy

Job Description

Dynamic, award-winning in-house agency seeks a dynamic and motivated Editorial Assistant. We're looking for a creative and strategic person who's interested in learning about the media industry and seeing the inner workings of a busy, innovative in-house advertising, marketing and branding studio!

This role supports both the ViacomCBS Creative & Strategy department at large and its Editorial team. This is a training ground and entryway into our writing staff, so the person in the role should be a strong creative and strategic writer!

Responsibilities:
• Scheduling meetings and appointments
• Arranging staff meetings, events and off-sites
• Drafting correspondence
• Reconciling expenses
• Managing supplies
• Maintaining status reports, databases and portfolios
• Creating presentations
• Research
• Creating content for social media
• Editorial/copywriting as primary duties are mastered
• Making travel arrangements
• Answering phones in-office

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree (English or Journalism major preferred)
• 1-2 years of experience (strong internship experience considered)
• Social media experience

• Excellent writing skills
• Previous administrative experience preferred
• Meticulous and organized
• Strong communication skills
• Can work across the department and collaborate with teams and people at all levels
• Problem solver and resilient; approaches challenges and roadblocks with ideas
• Possesses excellent interpersonal skills
• Has ability to be innovative and creative
• Can handle a busy to-do list with multiple tasks
• Can adhere to deadlines
• Has knowledge of Apple operating system and experience with software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT; Apple Keynote; Outlook; Slack
