Creative Director: Podcasting -ViacomCBS Kids & Family Entertainment (Nickelodeon, Awesomeness TV)

Overall Responsibilities:

Specific projects include the creative development, execution and delivery of podcasts and audio stories for Nickelodeon. The Creative Director will work across all genres – scripted, non-scripted, live-action, animation – alongside the EICs and development teams for existing properties. Projects will span translating established shows to the audio medium as well as concepting and developing new formats that appeal to kids and families. Additionally, this role will contribute to Nickelodeon's dedication to develop original audio content by soliciting pitches, finding hosting and production talent, and identifying potential talent for development.

Responsibilities:
• Supervise creative development of Nickelodeon podcasts from concept to execution in partnership with show development teams, resulting in polished final product
• Lead creative and production discussions about all podcast formats with internal and external partners and lead all aspects of final delivery to audio platforms
• Solicit and field pitches from possible creators and establish relationships with talent and writers
• Work closely with network EICs, development, talent, production management and marketing to lead all aspects of the production timeline
• Work on projects in multiple phases of development and production, up to 10 projects at a time on a yearly basis
• Help determine production operations, workflow and potential internal and outside resource usage and allocations
• Handle payment and invoicing and talent contracts with BALA
• Collaborate with marketing and CGC to initiate logos, artwork and platform partnership efforts

Qualifications:
• Minimum 6 years of Podcast development and/or Media production experience
• Experience includes translating properties from different mediums into podcasting and development of original IP and formats
• Experience handling production, operations and projects at different points in timeline
• Background in the kids and family space is ideal

Additional Qualifications:
• Outstanding communication skills with finely tuned ability to work within cross-functional teams
• Strong ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel
