WMX is looking for a driven Senior Manager of Post Production to join our award-winning Studio team. The ideal candidate must have strong communications skills, be detail oriented, organized, possess excellent time management, and have positive vibes.

Your role:

Are you a stellar visual storyteller? Do you have the ability to inspire junior and senior members of your team? In this role, you will lead a team of first-class editors responsible for turning raw footage into powerful, succinct, world-class video content.

To succeed in this role, you'll need to be a critical thinker and a creative problem solver. You'll draw on previous experience that includes team management and training, superb storytelling skills, project management skills, and a demonstrated ability to produce high-quality content with original creative that is engaging, persuasive, and has entertaining visuals for all corners of WMX

Here you'll get to:
• Ensure that WMX post is utilizing competitive technology and software on all platforms
• Build, train, mentor, and coach a growing team of professional freelance video editors
• Oversee end-to-end creation of branded and original programming video assets and ensure on time delivery.
• Responsible for Post Department Budget
• Provide creative guidance for all projects in post
• Work closely with production, creative, editors, music libraries, graphics etc. to deliver content that raises the creative bar
• Responsible for creating and influencing operational best practices that remove obstacles
• Oversee the Approval/creation of budgets for post-production projects and track project costs
• Partner with internal WMX teams and stakeholders to meet the demands of advertising clients
• Act as the responsible point of escalation for team members when there are potential financial, creative or deadline problems for their projects.
• Respond appropriately to feedback from client and guide post team to best implement that feedback...but also be willing and able to push back on feedback when and as appropriate.
• Own the maintenance of post production tracking documentation and spreadsheets, ensuring all information is timely and current.
• Maintain strong communication with all clients and vendors
• Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients, producers, directors and production companies to ensure a steady flow of communication and timely turnaround of deliverables while managing multiple work-streams with competing priorities
• Maintaining flexible schedules to account for new projects/priorities that arise
• Responsible for building and maintaining QC'ing and quality standard processes
• You will get the opportunity to write creatively (i.e. scripts) and report on data-driven analysis (i.e. post mortem)

About you:
• First class experience in Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, and other Adobe cloud apps
• Experience in giving creative and story feedback
• Proven problem solving, analytical, and creative skills
• Experience working with production houses and networks
• Experience working with brands and advertisers
• Experience and knowledge in a wide variety of digital media workflows and media asset types
• Experience with Music Libraries
• Ability to display complex concepts in simple, intuitive formats
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to cross-functional teams
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once, create timelines, follow through, and meet deadlines
• Even-tempered, collaborative, good judgment, good sense of humor

Job Posting Ranges are included for NYC based and 100% remote roles where talent can be located in NYC. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
