Job Summary:
Universal Music Group is seeking a talented Sr. Business Analyst to join our Global Data Governance team.
The Sr. BA will work across our data governance team and other UMG business teams in Fan Marketing, eCommerce and Data Analytics to analyze, document and develop data requirements that deliver against several key UMG business goals.
In addition, you will assist with the development and implementation of business processes and tools as well as the establishment and integration of measures, metrics, thresholds, and targets to drive performance in alignment with business needs and corporate objectives.

In addition, you will be responsible for providing increased data management discipline and structure for the acquisition, consolidation, and documentation of critical data across UMG's data and analytics ecosystems.
How you'll CREATE:
• Create, institutionalize, and promote data management best practices with other data citizens in multiple business units and departments throughout Universal Music Group.
• Collaborate with IT, business application, privacy and data teams to expand adoption of governance frameworks.
• Develop a deep understanding of the existing data landscape and oversee data quality initiatives across the enterprise by coordinating with data owners.
• Validate and approve data deliverables (such as publishing sensitive datasets) to ensure data governance requirements are being met.
• Apply creative problem-solving skills to data governance efforts in a way that satisfies business leaders' needs and lays the groundwork for future success
• Partner with product stakeholders to understand your team's data and business needs; become an expert in translating these needs into actionable insights.
• Coordinate, and manage the task execution of tactical working groups and technical design sessions.
• Prepare materials, coordinate, facilitate, and perform follow-up project activities.
• Communicate insights to your stakeholders with a data-driven point of view and plan for action.
• Ensure that key data governance artifacts (documentation, definitions, processes, policies, etc.) are created, controlled, managed, and maintained over time.
• Create and support ongoing data governance processes, policies, KPI's and coordinate the roll-out of governance activities.
• Expand collaboration and adoption of new governance frameworks across the enterprise.
• Be a voice within our team to help educate, elevate and advocate data governance throughout UMG.

• Proven ability to capture and document business requirements effectively.
• Project management skills with a proven track record of initiative and outstanding performance.
• Individual must be flexible and resourceful, with a natural ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• 5+ Years' experience as a BA preferably working in media industry or within marketing technology teams.
• Experienced in tools & techniques of business systems analysis, engineering, project management, and quality assurance.
• Experience using data quality and MDM technologies to drive data governance and data quality
• Prior experience with governance tools such as Collibra, OneTrust, Informatica, Alation (or similar data catalogs).
• Working experience in consumer privacy and knowledge of regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA) and emerging trends a plus.
• Experience with marketing and eCommerce concepts, data analytics practices and technology a plus.
• SQL and data analysis skills are highly desirable.
• Individual must be flexible, with an ability to work in an independent, proactive manner, as well as part of a team.
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing Technology, Business/Data Analytics or other related fields.

Salary Range:
$64,480 - $133,650
The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
