Job Description
The European Administration department provides international copyright, process and technical support to UMP's European offices and their local administration departments. European Administration is the conduit between the local European offices and our central Global Administration base at our headquarters in Los Angeles. This role will be b ased in our brand new St Pancras Square office in London.

Skills & Experience

Be Administrative
• Lead a common process for the management of counterclaims within Europe
• Continue the centralised management of international repertoire counterclaims for offices within the ICE footprint and for other specified European offices
• Communicate with CMOs and other interested parties on international repertoire counterclaims
• Retrieve and review documentation in support of UMP's claims from Universal's international operating companies
• Provide local counterclaim and dispute coordination services directly to the UK organisation's clients, in close collaboration with the UK Copyright Department
• Identify materiality and prioritise workload
• Design and deliver volume and performance metrics to actively monitor counterclaim process performance
• Contribute to the development of UMP's counterclaim management system, alongside Global Copyright and Global Technology
• Provide training and guidance on UMP's local offices on the counterclaim management system
• Discuss and critically review new processes and workflows emerging from CMOs and their back offices; represent UMP on cross industry working groups
• Coordinate international repertoire Copyright Queries & Troubleshooting for designated European offices
• Catalogue maintenance projects as instructed by management e.g. copyright data implementation, clean-up
• Ad hoc tasks

Be Collaborative
• Directly liaise with UK Business Affairs and A&R, in co-operation with UK Copyright
• Participate in European Engagement calls
• Working closely with multiple teams and stakeholders including:
• The SVP and Senior Manager of European Administration and the Head of UK Administration
• The administration teams in our European local offices
• The Global Administration HQ in Santa Monica, CA
• The Global Administration Ops Team in Franklin, TN
• Representatives of CMOs
• Other publishers
• UMP's local UK clients and business units
• Our Royalty Review and Analytics teams

Person Specification

Necessary
• Be a team player
• Experience in copyright administration at a music publisher or CMO
• Excellent communicator
• Capability to work with other business units such as Business Affairs and A&R, understanding of their processes
• Adaptable to changing processes
• Ability to assess priorities and manage own workload, deadlines effectively

Desirable
• Fluency in a European language other than English
