Job Description
Universal Music Group – the world leader in music and culture – has created a powerful suite of digital media solutions that are leveraged by today's biggest brand marketers. To support this new and rapidly growing revenue stream, we are building a dedicated client services team to help facilitate the activation and success of media sales. We are looking for a passionate and determined individual to join the client services team to help grow and develop our existing media sales efforts while ensuring the foundations are in place for further development of our team and products in the near future.

UMG has the largest footprint in music media, with advertising solutions across online video, data and social.

How you'll CREATE:
• In this role, you will lead technical media, overseeing the strategy, adoption and implementation of UMG's global advertising & marketing technology infrastructure.
• Evolve the activation, optimisation, and performance of our paid digital media program by employing an agile, test & learn approach that encourages testing of new technologies and capabilities we buy or build
• Management of the Advertising Operations process, such as overseeing, optimizing current media planning, buying, reporting and billing processes.
• Support the Reporting Analytics teams to debug tracking and reporting issues
• Support Media Analyst with the advertising reporting operations and BI dashboards (Datorama/Salesforce), including maintaining data quality and technical problem solving in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrable ability to write complex queries with SQL/Hive.
• Manage, develop and execute product roadmaps for centrally used and GDPR/CCPA compliant systems in conjunction with Product, Engineering and Marketing
• Effectively communicate the technical nuances of UMG's ad-tech and mar-tech infrastructure to internal marketing and digital stakeholders.
• Oversee global media & technology affiliate initiatives to help increase monetisation of music consumption and fan loyalty.
• Work closely with internal IT, Legal & Data Governance teams to define our compliance with privacy regulations like the ePrivacy directive and GDPR
• Collaborate with third-party ad-tech and mar-tech partners to implement solutions
• Troubleshoot technical issues that arise with UMG's global advertising & marketing technology infrastructure including implementation, reporting, measurement and activation.
• Drive the strategies from a platform to tangible global media firsts that can be, but not essentially are, grounded in channel tactics.
• Collaborates with VP, Media Strategy to build presentations and other important communication regarding strategic deliverables; delivering clear, compelling and persuasive communications to all stakeholders
• Develop beneficial media partner relationships with market leaders to ensure we are not only adhering to best practices, but setting the standard in how advertising technology is used

• Ability to communicate effectively with media, marketing, ad tech, and senior executives
• Experience of implementing and optimizing web tagging and app SDKs
• Experience working with digital advertising platform data and ad tracking technology including Meta (Facebook) and Google preferred.
• Highly data-driven with strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decision making
• Experience in a product management and/or operations role within a digital media context working on scaled complex platforms, systems, and/or APIs.
• Proven experience building out and scaling ad operations teams to optimize efficiency and performance across the organization
• Experience in tracking customer journeys across multiple channels/tactics.
• Results driven with excellent accuracy and attention to detail
• In-depth understanding and experience with digital ad products, audience measurement tools, ad trackers, and programmatic advertising
• Experience in managing, maintaining or optimizing digital marketing technologies
• Knowledge of how to manage large feeds of campaign reporting data
• Familiarity with technologies such as R, Python or SQL
• Ability to deal with multiple stakeholders and manage project delivery across several different teams and agencies.
• 3 -5 years of experience [ideally within an agency] with ad-serving technology and operations
• Experience with third-party advertising platforms such as Google, Facebook, and DSPs
• Experience in managing multiple multi-faceted projects in a fast-paced environment with the ability to be agile and quickly pivot from one initiative to another.
• Strong understanding of all media channels and should have a ''media generalist'' background.
• Proven experience with digital ad trafficking, campaign operations, and programmatic implementation.
• Knowledge of the latest marketing trends.
• Strong knowledge of ad serving standards such as VAST, VPAID, SSAI
• Experience within the digital online ecosystem, including familiarity with third-party ad servers such as DCM, Innovid, etc.
• Comprehension and experience in the implementation of digital video and other formats, including VAST and VPAID
• Experience with 3rd party ad servers such as Innovid & DCM
• Experience with Google Ad manager
• Experience working with 3rd party verification vendors like DAR, IAS & MOAT
• Programmatic experience a plus (DSP, SSP)
• Experience implementing, testing and QAing third-party tags
• Very strong project management skills.

Salary Range:
