How you’ll CREATE:
• Provide functional and local HR support across multiple business units within Universal Music Group
• Facilitate and help implement key HR initiatives, projects, programs, and events
• Greet incoming visitors, applicants, and employees, and serve as front line HR customer service representative and follow up, as appropriate. Spend time getting to know our employees professionally, so that they think of HR as a go-to resource. Field basic questions to assist employees, and provide relevant updates to HR team to follow up
• Input all data into HRIS system (WorkDay) related to employee actions (Promotions, transfers, contract increases, terminations, etc.)
• Utilize HRIS systems to research issues and provide data to HR team and clients, as appropriate
• Responsible for employee onboarding, including processing all new hire paperwork, new hire orientation set-up, and liaising with admin services and IT on new hire work space and technology needs
• Prepare required documents for separations, schedule exit interviews and collect company assets upon exit
• Support HR Business Partner team in day-to-day administrative tasks and projects, answering tier-one employee questions with a focus on customer service and maintaining a positive attitude
• Route job requisitions for approval, working closely with Talent Acquisition as needed
• Maintain org charts and update regularly
• Responsible for I-9 update processing
• Stay current with changes in legislation, benefit plan updates, internal processes, policies and procedures
• Maintain applicable Federal, State, and local required postings up-to-date
• Analysis of transfers and proration and/or chargebacks if needed
• Responsible for tracking and coordinating deliverables for our employee service award program
• Assist in monitoring and ordering business supplies
• Ad hoc projects
• Duties and responsibilities may be amended from time to time in order to support efficient company operations

Bring your VIBE:
• 2-4 years of HR experience preferred (with an interest in expanding overall knowledge base in HR)
• Experience in Workday
• General knowledge of HR-related legal issues, policies and regulations helpful
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. Visio and/or Org Plus experience a plus
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Great team player; looks for opportunities to help the team achieve goals and deliverables
• Exercise a high degree of professionalism in interactions with all levels of the organization
• Respond to employee inquiries and requests swiftly and with tact
• Proactive, bright and innovative individual who is business savvy and demonstrates good judgment
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to successfully balance work priorities across multiple business units
• Highly adaptable to a fluid and ever-changing work environment
• Must have excellent follow-through skills and the ability anticipate and address business needs proactively
• Basic understanding of labor laws and interest in keeping abreast of trends and updates in the HR industry as well as the music business
• Regularly applies critical thinking to understanding and resolving issues
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Take initiative and find opportunities to help team achieve goals and deliverables aligned with plan
• Proven attention to detail
• Demonstrate flexibility and able to work additional hours as needed
• Team-oriented attitude balanced with ability to work independently

• Strong understanding of and commitment to confidentiality
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
