Graduate .Net Developer

Job Description

This position is for a Junior Full-stack application developer to work on a variety of development projects. The individual will work to develop and support web applications using Angular (2+) and ASP.NET Core, hosted on an AWS cloud infrastructure.

Skills & Experience

Be Technical
• Work in an agile environment - participate in sprint planning, retrospective and sprint demos
• Enhancements, maintenance and support of existing applications
• Develop code in accordance with defined standards and generally accepted practices
• We expect everyone on our team to present creative solutions to our technology problems
• Make sure code developed is unit tested and documented to standards
• Forward thinking and proactive bringing new technology ideas to solve business challenges

Be Collaborative
• Maintain balanced relationships across the business community, technical team and IT vendors

• Communicate risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies to appropriate stakeholders and escalate if necessary to ensure the project's success

Person Specification

Necessary
• Experience in a similar role
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate with user community, project management, developers, contractors, and all levels of management
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• An ability to work to deadlines
• A good eye for detail
• Experience with JavaScript/Typescript, HTML, CSS, C# and .NET or similar
• Experience with Object orientated OOP/OOD programming or similar
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases or similar
• Experience of using Visual Studio/VSCode or similar
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle

Desirable
• Have solid Agile experience
• Recent experience using Angular 2+ and ASP.NET Core
or similar
• Experience working with project management tools (Jira, Confluence or similar)
• Experience using Entity Framework Core
• Experience using git version control
• Experience using docker
• Cloud infrastructure experience
