Job Description
UMUK value e-Commerce as a key foundational channel to connect artists and fans. This is a newly created role within our Ops team to deliver a best-in-class procurement service across our owned and operated and artist stores.

We are seeking an experienced eCommerce buyer to lead all buying and supplier management for our eCommerce team. You will oversee all of buying operations, stock control and demand planning our releases, as well as spotting buying opportunities across our portfolio of retail brands. As the first point of contact within our team for any new release or stock queries, the candidate will work closely across the eComm and label and central teams to manage the forecasting and ordering stock and manage relationships with internal planners and external suppliers.

This position requires strong communication skills, forecasting, business acumen, and relationship management. A strong knowledge of music and ecommerce consumer buying habits is critical to the role.

Skills & Experience

The Buyer is responsible for:
• Ordering of all stock from internal and external suppliers and be the first point of contact for delivery enquiries on product for the warehouse team
• Oversee customer demand, market trends, product / stock availability, product flow, and pricing strategy with eComm store managers ensure products are kept in stock to maximise sales potential throughout product life
• Manage the order from the supplier to the warehouse inbound team
• Oversee the invoice and PO process ensuring correct delivery of all inbound stock
• Support labels on pre-order plans, forecasting and demand planning in line with campaign changes and review sales, stock, and profitability reporting
• Working with procurement head for merchandise on all merch stock planning ordering
• Manage aged stock processes with labels and suppliers
• Liaising with suppliers, setting up new suppliers and working closely with them to ensure delivery of product into our 3PL supply chain
• Update Bulk inventory for top performing and out of stock product
• Efficiently achieve sales and profitability by consistently reviewing and appropriately editing product lines
• Processing all POs and ensuring inbound paperwork and process is audited
• Drive improvement in inventory availability and out of stocks management while increasing inventory management efficiency

Necessary:
• A proven track record within a buying role for an eCommerce brand
• Familiarity with all eComm OMS and backoffice systems to manage stocks
• Ops driven and commercial & analytical approach to business, adept at working to tight deadlines and under pressure
• Demonstrable Inventory management experience, including eComm CMS / OMS to manage stock and orders
• Strong stock management experience, planning and forecasting run rates and ordering stock in line with sales forecasts
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across the group, from warehouse goods in, to store management to senior management
• Experience of documenting processes and working with the team to implement new workflows
• Strong eComm retail background, adept at stock management for music new release product campaigns and evergreen merchandising of artist webstores
• Ability to liaise with third party suppliers, initiate and fulfil initiatives in a proactive manner
• Strong communication, problem solving and co-ordination skills, with the ability to management multiple workstreams, often across multiple time zones
• Strong track history of using data and analytics to make informed stock forecasting decisions
• An interest in consumer insight and the impact on product offerings.

• Experience/knowledge of record label process
• OMS experience
• E-commerce/Retail experience including fulfilment operations
