Senior Accountant

Job Description

UTA is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Accounting team. The Senior Accountant will execute the accounting for their respective line of businesses (LOBs). This individual is tasked with the accurate and timely close of the LOB's books. The Senior Accountant will support the Accounting Manager in coordination of any consolidation and financial reporting related tasks as well as any communication with the Corporate Accounting Team. The ideal candidate will be a team player, problem solver, detail-oriented, effective communicator, have high integrity, and should be able to excel in a fast-paced work environment.

What You Will Do
• Prepare journal entries complete with necessary supporting documentation and schedules
• Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and promptly resolve issues
• Coordinate and request banking transactions with support documentation and approvals
• Evaluate accounts to appropriately determine month end accruals and estimates
• Perform analysis of the financials and summarize results to Accounting Manager
• Liaise with various other accounting and finance staff to provide additional support
• Assist with annual financial statement audit requests
• Assist with reviewing and improving general process documentation
• Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis, as requested
• Assist with special projects, as needed

What You Will Need
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Big 4 or other national public accounting firm experience preferred
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field strongly preferred
• CPA or working towards CPA
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP)
• Entertainment experience preferred
• NetSuite experience a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel including pivot tables
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
