Job Description
Ubisoft Annecy is looking for a Rigger to join its teams in charge of developing a AAA game and participate in Ubisoft's next blockbuster.
The Rigger bridges the needs of Modelers and Animators to maximize the quality of rigging (joints/bones) and skinning (deformation of the mesh of skin and clothing) and works in close collaboration with the technical director to create tools that Animators need.
In this context, your missions will be the following:
• Development of real-time rigs for realistic characters and animals, based on mocap or keyframe animation
• Integration and optimization of rigs in the in-house engine (Anvil)
• Integration of in-game characters
• Understanding of 3DS Max Biped HIK system
• Perform any other related task
Qualifications
You hold several years of experience in the video game or film industry.
• Excellent knowledge of Maya, 3DSMAX, Motion Builder and skining and cloth constraints
• Very good knowledge of scripting: PyMel, MaxScript, Python
• Proactivity around rig and skining issues inherent to video games
• Autonomous, organized and with excellent interpersonal skills makes you proactive
• Ability to adapt, particularly in terms of quality and time constraints
• Thorough understanding of human anatomy
• Ability to work within a team, with good communication
• Fluent level of English required, French a nice to have but not mandatory
