The Job

The Strategist, Football is responsible for day-to-day management and content strategy of B/R Football's social platforms. He/she will specifically lead Football's social strategy on curation, caption writing, content packaging and discovery, as well as serve as strategic manager and mentor to a team of programmers.

The Daily
• Help run the day-to-day management and strategy of B/R's social platforms (content packaging, event planning, community building) around Soccer
• Specifically develop and lead social strategy on content packaging, hook writing, RSS and automation around Soccer
• Develop strategy to increase engagement across social channels with a focus on interactivity and US orientated soccer content
• Work closely with a shared team of programmers
• Utilize analytics platform to track and optimize engagement across social channels

The Essentials
• 5+ years experience in digital media, social media or content curation
• Extensive knowledge of Soccer
• Extensive knowledge of all social platforms, functionality and audience growth best practices
• Experience in leading small teams and/or projects/events
• Deep understanding of current media and digital content space
• Previous editorial, content or social media experience in sports news is preferred
• Awareness of Bleacher Report's voice + extensive knowledge of internet sports culture
• Experience with analytics platforms preferred
