The Job

WarnerMedia seeks a Senior Financial Analyst.

The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) of Tech Finance & Investment Planning will be responsible for building and maintaining extensive technology business cases and financial models in support of HBOMax and the WarnerMedia Direct-To-Consumer Technology team. The role will also focus on building detailed financial models and analyses to evaluate WarnerMedia's Cloud Computing, Content Delivery, Data Warehousing and Data Center plans. Additionally, the SFA will develop analyses to evaluate enterprise technology vendor contracts. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Tech Finance & Investment Planning.

The Daily
• Produces detailed technology cost plans and business models to evaluate new investments and product launches.
• Creates & maintains the cloud computing, commerce and content delivery monthly forecast models for HBOMax. Provides detailed reporting on each area to technology and finance leadership.
• Consolidates the Global Cloud and Content Delivery forecasts across WMTO and provides reporting to executive leadership.
• Develops detailed analyses and conducts due diligence to evaluate enterprise technology contracts. Evaluates total cost of ownership, opportunity costs, return profile, and the economic impact of negotiated contract provisions.
• Tracks and benchmarks WM Direct-To-Consumer (DTC) technology investments vs. competitors. Develops KPIs to analyze internal tech costs and industry benchmarks. Collects data, research, and market info to feed technology decision making.
• Maintains reporting on WM technology external investment stakes.
• Assists with merger and acquisition (M&A) evaluation and integration activities within WarnerMedia technology.

The Essentials
• Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience including financial modelling, new business planning, research gathering, presenting and supporting executive teams . Investment banking, management consulting or corporate M&A experience preferred.
• Superior analytical and financial modelling skills, as well as a strong understanding of corporate finance, forecasting, financial statements and KPIs.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, including the ability to give presentations to senior leadership.
• Familiarity with Cloud Computing and SaaS concepts preferred. Keen interest in technology and technology-driven businesses preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated success working in teams.
• Media, entertainment or technology industry experience preferred.
