The Job

Turner Services Inc. seeks a Director, CNS Production for the Kids Content-Toon department.

The Daily
• Oversees and creates production workflows/pipelines for productions, Oversees tracking of assets. Prepares production schedules and budgets. Works closely with production management and production accounting. Manages Line Producers; manages and assesses schedules and reports. Assists in creating new reports for tracking purposes as needed.
• Collaborates with SVP, Production, division executives, Producers, Writers and Directors on the development of all projects and ensures a smooth transition from development into production.
• Responsible for managing day-to-day aspects of production by providing leadership and guidance to project personnel. Assists with training and mentoring of production management staff across all production.
• Identifies and evaluates animation subcontractors and potential co-production partners. Aids production in the recruitment of qualified staff including artists, production teams, casting/voice directors, directors, etc.

The Essentials
• 5-8 years of hands in animation production experience.
• Thorough knowledge of animation process with strong leadership skills
• Previous experience with outside vendors (Local 839 & 70)
• Experience with international markets & studios
• Ability to forecast and create budgets
• Degree from college or trade school with emphasis in media/communications preferred
• Taking smart risks and creating new opportunities for the business.
• Taking ownership in the results of the work and empowering others for the same through actionable feedback.
• Working in a fashion that drives quick, simple and efficient results and is iterative and flexible with priorities.
• Using effective partnerships across the organization, communicating proactively, and incorporating other viewpoints in the approach to the work.
