The Job

WarnerMedia seeks a Painter I for the Techwood Maintenance department. To display excellent knowledge and techniques in all aspects of the painting and drywall trade. Ability to work with minimal supervision and instruction. Physically able to handle painting supplies and equipment. Must be able to work on ladders, scaffolding and lifts without apprehension. May be required to assist other trades as necessary to complete task when additional personnel are required. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

The Daily
• Install and repair drywall
• Prep all paintable surfaces.
• Brush, roll, or spray any or all paints and varnishes
• Tape, trim caulk, glaze windows, door, trim, etc.
• Clean and maintain all painting related equipment and supplies
• Identify various paint colors used at our facilities.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures as stated in the ''Facility Services Policies and Procedures Manual''.
• Performs other duties as required or as assigned by the General Maintenance Lead

Responsibilities

JOB KNOWLEDGE

Three (3) years experience using all paints and varnishes and other paint media. Ability to read architectural blueprints as applied to the painting trade. With some assistance, should be able to determine the reasons for component, systems or structure malfunctions, assist with corrective actions and functions to ensure proper and timely repairs.

JOB QUALITY

All assigned work projects must be performed to the highest standard as set forth by TBS Properties, Facility Services with the primary goal of consistently high quality, accurate and neat job performance.

JOB QUANTITY/PRODUCTIVITY

Must be able to maintain neatness and efficiency while painting interior and exterior surfaces. Perform to standards set by industry for production and acceptable finish standards.

DEPENDABILITY/FOLLOW THROUGH

Must be a self starter and motivated. Must complete assigned tasks and duties on schedule under supervision of Painter Lead.

COMMUNICATION/EXPRESSION SKILLS

Good communication and expression skills are a must in working effectively with all individuals both inside and outside the company.

Must be able to accurately and neatly complete all necessary forms and paperwork i.e. work orders and time sheets.

COOPERATION

Must be an effective team player and keep in mind the immediate and long-term goals of the department.

LEADERSHIP/INITIATIVE

Must be highly motivated and a self starter. Should always consider ways to improve, both efficiently and effectively, work related issues. Use the ''one step ahead'' approach in anticipating what will be necessary to complete all assigned tasks.

JUDGMENT

Must be aware of personnel requirements for the Maintenance Department. Should ensure correct procedures are being followed and provide assistance when necessary. Ensure that work is performed in accordance with good industry practices and Turner Properties, Inc. safety regulations and procedures.

ADAPTABILITY

Coordinates work schedules as assigned by the General Maintenance Manager. Must travel to various locations throughout the facility and grounds. Conditions encountered include extremes in temperature, dust, and noise levels which may require special protective devices and/or clothing. Some travel away from the facility and grounds may be required. May be subject to 24 hour per day and 7 days per week call. Climbing and movement in hazardous areas may be required.

LEARNING APTITUDE

Reads and applies work methods practices, all according to company policies, procedures and pertinent directives. Stays abreast of new technology that can improve the overall operations and maintenance of the department. Participate in training programs available for self-improvement. Utilize all policies and practices consistent with departmental requirements to develop skills and confidence in work and understanding of the goals of the company.

The Essentials
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Optional two (2) year trade school to reduce experience requirement to three (3) years.
• Stays informed of the O&M requirements associated with new and existing equipment.
