The Job

WarnerMedia seeks a Senior Lead for the Business Improvement Group department.

The Business Improvement Senior Lead is responsible for planning and executing business transformation initiatives, including process transformation, business unit reorganization, and system implementation. The BI Senior Lead will work closely with executives to define, scope, mobilize and execute these strategic initiatives. In support of these, this position will lead project teams of BI consultants and other WarnerMedia experts. Support WarnerMedia's strategic initiatives:

Support WarnerMedia's strategic initiatives:
• Develop and maintain relationships with executives (VP to EVP) across the company.
• Partner with executives to identify or propose opportunities to improve business performance through meaningful new projects aligned with the executive's strategic objectives.
• Use consulting skills and project management expertise in conjunction with WM knowledge and industry best practices to design and implement new or improved processes, organizational structures, systems, etc.
• Be a sought-out resource and thought leader for both the project team and the Executive Sponsor when determining how to best address the business need.
• Provide consultative guidance to sponsors with respect to softer aspects of a project. Best Practices Research & Professional Development:
• Responsible for staying abreast of industry and function best practices including technology, media & entertainment, global business services, and org design.
• Regularly provides new insights to executive sponsors.

Project / Program Management:
• Identify and mobilize concurrent transformation initiatives and oversee execution of projects to achieve measurable results with team sizes ranging from 4 to 20 people.
• Shows strong competencies in process re-engineering, organization design, & process improvement to achieve results.
• Able to gain executive sponsor buy-in for proposed changes and being accountable for the ultimate outcome of the project.
• Capable of managing projects that are multi-functional and involve complex business problems.
• Be very proficient at using the latest tools and methodologies from project and change management to effect positive change.

Practice Development:
• Direct People performance manager – 1 - 3 direct reports, when applicable; indirect management of up to 20 people.
• Staff development – provide on-the-job feedback and coaching; identify training needs; create experiential growth opportunities
• Contribute and actively participate in continuous improvement efforts within Business Improvement department.

The Essentials
• 10+ years of formal consulting experience or broad scope leadership role in operations.
• Extensive experience in process re-engineering, preferably from Big 4 consulting.
• Managing internal clients and/or external vendors to meet project milestones and/or complete deliverables on time, in a quality manner, and on budget (if applicable).
• 10+ years of formal consulting experience or broad scope leadership role in operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• Broadcast/Cable/Entertainment Industry experience.
• Six Sigma and PMP certification.
• Big 4 consulting.
• System savvy, preferably in PeopleSoft, Trintech, Salesforce.com, and Hyperion.
• Broadcast/Cable/Entertainment Industry experience.
• MBA Preferred
