The Job
You will elicit, analyze, validate, specify, verify, and manage the real needs of the project stakeholders, including the technicians and the end users. We seek a true self-starter who can evolve best practices, policies and procedures within our team. The Advanced BA serves as the conduit between the customer community and the solutions teams through which requirements flow, and is involved at some level throughout the entire Systems Development Lifecycle. This position works alongside systems architects, software developers, project managers and other engineers to build the content production facilities, systems and workflows used by WarnerMedia's global content producers. This person is an internal best practices champion influencing department changes and enhancements to processes.

The Daily

• Analyze business operations to understand strengths and weaknesses of the current state, and opportunities in a future state.
• Drive elicitation of requirements using best analytical practices that may include interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, document analysis, standard modeling techniques (business process models, use case, functional decomposition, task flows and workflows, data models, etc.)
• Gather input and opinions from a diverse group of users, peers and managers.
• Clarify vague, undefined business needs, helping users define requirements and determining how to best address them.
• Write requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely.
• Create workflow diagrams to document current and future business environment.
• Validate with the customer and shared with project stakeholders.
• Conduct ROI and other financial analysis to support project funding/prioritization.
• Provide UAT and implementation support, preparing the business for the system solution.
• Act as a subject matter expert for assigned systems and applications.
• Partner with training team and vendors to develop end-user training, and provide internal knowledge transfer and support.
• Serve as a Project Manager as needed for smaller initiatives

The Essentials
• 3+ years related experience with proven track record.
• Strong meeting facilitation and presentation skills.
• Effective Customer management skills, including conflict resolution.
• Familiarity with ITIL, ITSM and ITBM
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
• Ability to make a strong first impression and build trust, rapport and lasting relationships with business stakeholders, including engineers, end users and executives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to speak "tech speak" to techies, "lay speak" to laymen, and "business speak" to business leaders.
• Ability to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders.
• Strong facilitation, questioning and listening skills to ask right questions of individuals and groups to surface essential requirements information.
• Ability to listen to understand not only what people say, but what they mean, and to detect what they may be hesitant to say.
• Ability to think on your feet, to go beyond planned questions and respond to whatever input you hear from the people you are interviewing.
• Analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment, prioritize multiple tasks, and problem solve under pressure of deadlines and resource constraints.
