I/O Operator

Job Description

The I/O Operator position supports the AV Assistant Editor team in handling all digital assets coming in and out of the building. This position works on site in the Hollywood office with three monthly rotating shifts (morning, mid, and night). The I/O Operator must be able to handle high-pressure situations with a focused and positive attitude. Multitasking, troubleshooting and organizational skills, along with dedication to the position and its responsibilities are essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage any downloading of assets from client
• Posting of offline cuts and final files to client
• Oversee uploading of files
• Ad-hoc projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to work independently, possessing good communication skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Attention to detail and knack for efficiency is an absolute must due to the high volume of requests.
• Must pick up new workflows and software quickly.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems with the discernment to know when to ask for help.
• Adobe Premiere and Avid Media Composer a plus
• Experience with various file transfer methods such as FTP, Aspera, Wiredrive, Frame IO and more.
• Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends if needed.
